UFLI As You Soar in Reading!

UFLI began in 1998 as a way to support struggling readers using evidence-based practice, supported by decades of research at the University of Florida.

After pilot testing and two years of development, this excellent program became accessible to all teachers worldwide. The amount of growth teachers have seen has made waves in the education world. I can say this, having used the speak and the program for the last two years.

Having spent time supporting the lowest 25 percent of students who were also classified as Special Education and English as a Second Language (ESOL), I saw these students make huge gains. My students went from decoding and encoding 70 sight words to 530 by the end of first grade. I have seen students soar from reading level C to level J in a seven-month time span. Combining UFLI foundations with Secret Stories and multi-sensory instructions has changed my way of teaching over the last ten years.

The program cost is $70 for the manual plus $20 for shipping. The University provides the rest of the on-the-toolbox PowerPoint slides, decodable passages, the take-home activity, assessments, and games. It was a one-stop shop with the keys to both teacher and student success.
